Various ready-to-eat pork and chicken products were voluntarily recalled by Tempe-based Nourish-Kitchen Foods.

Tempe-based Nourish-Kitchen Foods voluntarily recalled ready-to-eat pork and chicken products that it failed to produce in accordance with its food safety plan, failing to take the crucial steps it had determined were necessary to produce safe products and producing product without the benefit of inspection, according to the Arizona Department of Agriculture’s Meat and Poultry Inspection.

The problem was discovered through a review of company records by MPI in-plant inspection personnel. The review uncovered evidence to show that the establishment’s food safety records cannot be relied upon to document compliance with its food safety plan. Therefore, MPI must consider the products to be adulterated and have acted to remove the products from commerce. MPI has received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of these products. Individuals concerned about an illness should contact a physician. 

The following products were sold or distributed only in Arizona and bear the establishment number “EST 11” inside the mark of inspection located on the product label and were produced from July 1, 2021, to Nov. 3, 2021. 

Only products in the noted expiration time frames below are subject to recall:

• Smoky bacon krab dip: 8 ounces (expiration dates Aug. 14, 2021, to Dec. 1, 2021)

• Bacon cheddar dip: 8 ounces and 16 ounces (expiration dates Oct. 10, 2021, to Nov. 28, 2021)

• Pepperoni snack pack: 4.5 ounces (expiration dates Oct. 22, 2021, to Nov. 3, 2021)

• Pinwheel snack pack: 8.25 ounces (expiration dates Oct. 22, 2021, to Nov. 3, 2021)

• Chef’s salad: 8 ounces (expiration dates Sept. 15, 2021, to Nov. 9, 2021)

• Cobb salad:  8.3 ounces (expiration dates Sept. 15, 2021, to Nov. 9, 2021)

• Chicken Caesar salad: 5.50 ounces (expiration dates Sept. 15, 2021, to Nov. 9, 2021)

• Caesar Prowess salad: 9.20 ounces (expiration dates Sept. 15, 2021, to Nov. 9, 2021)

• Southwest salad: 9 ounces (expiration dates Sept. 15, 2021, to Nov. 9, 2021)

• Santorini salad: 9.5 ounces (expiration dates Sept. 15, 2021, to Nov. 9, 2021)

• Buffalo and Blue salad: 9.5 ounces (expiration dates Sept. 15, 2021, to Nov. 9, 2021)
