PET OF THE WEEK
Sam
March 3, 2010
With a silver gray-tabby coat and bright expressive eyes, Sam is one dashing kitty. His gregarious personality welcomes even strangers and this 10-Month-Old will snuggle with ANY cat lover who appreciates his thundering purr.
Being an adolescent cat, Sam still finds amusement in swatting at feather toys, chasing a small ball, or pouncing on toy mice. He is especially fond of shoe laces and will drag the string from one end of the house to the other with great enthusiasm.
He adores children and will sleep at the foot of their bed each night. He loves to be held and cuddled close and like a canine, he will roll over and beg for a belly rub. Although he may resemble a canine in some ways, he isn’t fond of the species and insists on finding a home without dogs.
Sam is available for adoption NOW at the Sunnyslope facility located at 9226 N. 13th Ave in Phoenix. His adoption fee is $50. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccinations, a follow-up veterinary exam, a colorful collar, a pet carrier and an AHS I.D. tag. For more information about Sam call 602-997-7585 ext. 2045 and ask for animal I.D. number A289126.
Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter, however, the Arizona Humane Society has dozens more wonderful pets that might also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter!
