New River, Desert Hills group hosts monthly meeting

The New River/Desert Hills Community Association will host Rodrigo Silva, Assistant Country Manager for Community Collaboration and Director of the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Unit at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 10 at Crossroads Christian Fellowship
Silva will have information on MCACC services such as their licensing, adoptions, rabies vaccinations, spay/neuter assistance program and the neuter scooter.
MCACC’s approach to delivering animal care and control services reflect the balance between animal welfare and animal control. MCACC’s mission is to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of people and pets in Maricopa County.

Those interested in being a member with full benefits are required to pay $20 per family. Dues paid at the meeting will be good through Dec. 31, 2012.
