Suspect arrested after package thefts

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Police Department is reminding residents to plan ahead when having packages delivered, after multiple reports of package theft. Last week, a suspect was booked on four counts of Theft related to package thefts.

Terrill Peuse, Jr. was arrested on Dec. 12, after a burglary call at an apartment near Bell Rd. and 32nd St. According to a news release from Phoenix Police, several packages addressed to various people were found in the suspect’s vehicle, and each victim was contacted and confirmed that they had made purchases online and their packages were stolen from their homes during the late morning/early afternoon. The thefts occurred in three Valley locations, including in the Dove Valley Ranch area.

During the holiday season, package theft is common, and Phoenix PD is reminding everyone to ‘T.L.C: Take it, Lock it, Conceal it.’

“Phoenix Police encourages everyone to plan ahead for package security. Arrange for someone to be home for deliveries, work with a trusted neighbor to secure packages, or have deliveries sent to a PO Box or lock box,” Phoenix Police said in a news release.
