Youth football team claims state title

The Wolfpack, a youth football team in Anthem made up of players aged 11 – 12, completed an undefeated season (10-0) with a state championship earlier this month.
In a rematch from earlier in the season, the team, coached by Ken Wood, made a 20-yard field goal as time expired to knock off the Cave Creek Razorbacks, 3-0, for the title.
On the season the Wolfpack averaged 40 points per game.
The core group, which has played together for the last four years, went 9-1 last season, before being eliminated in the second round of the playoffs.
