Anthem rallies around cancer-stricken youth

Katie Wagner, a 15-year-old sophomore at Boulder Creek High School, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of stage 4-cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. A "We Care" Anthem account has been set up for Katie Wagner at Mid First Bank.
Additionally Denny's, in Anthem, will donate 20 percent of customer's bills for the month of November when they tell their server “We care for Katie.”
Over the weekend further funds were raised through a Hands Across Anthem event that drew several hundred members of the community. For information on Wagner and the medical challenge she faces go to welovekatie.com.
