Stagecoach Village brings 3rd annual art show to Cave Creek
STAFF REPORT~ 10/26/2011
The 3rd annual Stagecoach Village Fine Art and Wine Festival is set
for 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday – Sunday.
The free event, featuring Arizona wines, will include world-class
art in the shadows of saguaro-studded desert mountains.
This year the Stagecoach Village Fine Art and Wine Festival is highlighted
by a variety of sculptures. The event's featured artist is Kim Obrzut,
award winning Native American artist, who has carved a niche out for
herself in the southwest art scene. She is known for her bronze sculptures
of Hopi maidens.
Artists Joe Decastro (mosaic), Felicia (bronze), Marie Barbera (bronze) also will be in attendance. The festival includes a range of art including paintings, jewelry, hand-made furniture, pottery and items for gardens.
Wine will be available for purchase and live music by Patrick Ki and Inca Gold will highlight the weekend’s festivities.
Arvel Bird, master fiddler and Native American storyteller, also will perform. He recently added Celtic music to his repertoire.
Stagecoach Village is located on East Cave Creek Road, less than a half-hour from the north Phoenix Valley.
