The Habitat for Humanity Desert Foothills ReStore is having a 50s
themed “Retro Day” event from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday. The store
will roll back prices for one day with 50 percent off everything in
the store.
The ReStore accepts new and gently used furniture, appliances, electronics
and building materials. All donations are then sold at a 20 percent
to 70 percent discount off retail prices. Profits benefit Habitat
for Humanity's mission of building simple, decent, affordable homes
for hardworking families in the North Phoenix community.
Suzanne Lever, owner of ‘Gourmet Cupcakes and More’, will be giving
out root beer float cupcakes and her version of Hostess cupcakes.
Donations are always welcomed and will benefit the mission. Clint
West of ‘Tropical Sno’ will be selling his refreshing shaved ice cones
and hot dogs and will donate 20 percent of his profits for the day
to Habitat for Humanity. 50s dressed, sock-hopping volunteers and
employees will be handing out popcorn and trick or treat candy for
the kids.
The Restore is located at 42205 N. Vision Way in Anthem, three blocks
south of Walmart.
