Bathtub racers sought

Bathtub racing is a science in Cave Creek, Ariz., home to Wild West
Days, Arizona’s largest western venue. Participants are being sought
for this year’s bathtub races, which will take place from 1 - 3 p.m.
on Nov. 5 on Cave Creek and Basin Roads near Big Earl’s Greasy Eats.
To sponsor a bathtub and participate, entrants must:
• be 18 years of age or older
• have a maximum of four persons per bathtub
• provide a name and theme for the bathtub
• build a bathtub on wheels that can steer and stop with brakes
• to enter the race, sign up by Tuesday
All bathtubs will be on display on Nov. 4 at Big Earl’s for visitors
to view. Participants can contact Kim Brennan at 602-882-1442 for
an entry form. The fee to enter a bathtub is $35 and forms must be
mailed to Wild West Days, PO Box 4458, Cave Creek, Ariz., 85327, or
form and payment can be made at Big Earl’s, Cave Creek Road, Cave
Creek, Ariz., 85331.
Wild West Days is an annual experience hosted by the Cave Creek Chamber
of Commerce. A portion of the proceeds benefit the chamber, Luv Shack
Horse Rescue, the 100 Club of Arizona, the national Rett Syndrome
Foundation and Desert Foothills Community Association. A comprehensive
