Arizona Musicfest presents the Dil & Louise Dilatush Young Artists Concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, at the Chapel Pinnacle Presbyterian Church, showcasing the Valley’s finest young instrumentalists and vocalists.
The program includes works by Bach, Chopin, Sarasate, Handel, Piatti, Copland, Beethoven, Matthus, Vaughan Williams, Mozart, Tamberg and Liszt performed by award-winning musicians.
Children and grandchildren are free to a program comprised of short segments that create an introduction to live music for ages five-and-up.
An opportunity to talk to the artists at a reception follows the concert.
Young Artists Concert student tickets are free for children under the age of 18. Adult tickets, which are $10, are available at the door. There will be a Meet the Artists reception following the concert. The Chapel at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church is located at 25150 North Pima Road, Scottsdale, 85255 (NW corner of Pima & Happy Valley Road).
The Dil and Louise Dilatush Young Artists Concert was named to honor two supporters of Arizona Musicfest. Dil and Louise had a special interest in promoting young artists and frequently provided direct financial assistance to talented local musicians in need of a helping hand. Their daughter Gayle Louise Dilatush continues to assist in supporting the Young Artists Concert.
