Black Canyon City hosts fundraiser

The Board of the Black Canyon City Chamber of Commerce will have its 4th annual Wine, Cheese, and Pie event from 6 – 11 p.m. Oct. 8 at Rock Springs Café.
The annual event raises funds for the non-profit organization, with the majority of the funds going to maintain the Visitors Center at Harmil Plaza.
The Chamber oversees the Visitors Center, which drew more than 2,400 visitors last year.
The event includes casino gambling with the AZ Dude, a silent auction and dancing under the stars. Cost is $15 per person or $25 for two. The price includes four glasses of various wines and $500 in poker chips for gambling.
The grand prize for the top gambler is a one-hour sight seeing plane ride from Deer Valley Airport.
There will also be light appetizers served and Rock Springs will have its outdoor bar open. Pie from Rock Springs Café also will be served.
