Public transportation option offered to seniors

Phoenix-based RidePlus is offering $1 rides to seniors in the Foothills area, to mark the company’s first year of offering private door-thru-door transportation services for seniors with limited driving abilities.
RidePlus will be accepting reservations for $1 rides on Saturday for trips taking place Monday - Oct. 30. The $1 rides are good for a one-way ride up to 30 minutes and can be reserved in advance on Saturday  by calling 1-877-743-3090 and asking for the RidePlus $1 anniversary rate.
Providing seniors with limited driving abilities a new alternative to get to the grocery store, doctor’s appointments and regular activities without relying on family, taxis or community shuttle services, RidePlus offers premium personal service at affordable prices that can extend beyond standard transportation. All RidePlus drivers also are certified in CPR and first-aid, and trained in senior mobility care. Doubling as personal attendants and friends, drivers can also offer door-thru-door care, arm-assisted aid, help carrying bags or entering/exiting the vehicle, or companionship for seniors while at their destination if desired.
