Team W.I.S.H plans golf outing fundraiser

Trilogy Golf Club in Peoria is hosting a golf tournament at 8 a.m. Aug. 21 to benefit Team W.I.S.H. Arizona, which raises funds for charitable organizations promoting breast cancer education and research.
The scramble event, with a shut gun start, is limited to 144 players. The registration deadline is Aug. 10. Sign up can be completed at www.teamwishgolf.com. At registration each golfer will receive an additional round of golf for future play at Trilogy Golf Club.
Cost for an individual is $80, with a foursome costing $320. A mulligan card, with four mulligans on it can be purchased for $20.
Before tee off participants will have the opportunity to warm up on the driving range or on the putting green. At the end of the day, the winning team will be presented with a ‘grand prize’ plus raffles prizes available for everyone involved followed by lunch.
Funds raised will help more than 43 team members, from all over the state, participate in the 2010 AZ 60 Mile Walk benefiting Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. Each member must raise $2,300 to be part of the November 12-14 walk in the Greater Phoenix Area. Since the birth of Team W.I.S.H. Arizona in 2004, they have raised more than $928,000 and hope to break the $1M mark this year.
In June Team W.I.S.H. raised more than $5,595, at a fundraiser at Affinito’s Bistro in Anthem. The event included $1,600 from a live auction event
