Staff Report ~ 6/30/2010

Wild West Days, an annual Wild West experience that is one of Cave Creek’s signature events, will be from Nov. 5-7 in downtown Cave Creek. The three-day event features a golf tournament at Rancho Manana Golf Club followed by two days of family entertainment, mutton bustin’, a dance, musical performers, an all-western parade, bathtub races, a bull fest, Miss Wild West Days and various horse-related activities and other festivities have made Wild West Days a renowned annual western experience.
According to Johnny Ringo, event chair, this year’s Wild West Days is a resurrection of the venue’s original roots, scope and purpose.
“This year’s Wild West Days will show the true spirit of Cave Creek and the tenacity of a strong community, pulling together for a common cause, to keep our western heritage alive."
Wild West Days, now in its eighth year, is an annual experience hosted by the Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit business-to-business entity that serves the businesses and organizations of Cave Creek, a prominent Arizona destination locale. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the chamber and the non-profit Desert Foothills Community. In addition, the event will provide charitable support to several horse-related organizations in community, which help to preserve the community’s Western heritage.
A comprehensive list of scheduled events and activities will soon be posted at: www.wildwestdayscavecreek.com in late June.
