Animal rescue opens new home

The new home for the Foothills Animal Rescue (FAR) Shelter opened
yesterday.
Located at 23030 North Pima Road in Scottsdale, the shelter touts
a cage-free environment for its cats and dogs, with four cage-free
cat living rooms and four dog suites.
The shelter is celebrating ‘Christmas in July’ by offering cats six
months and older for an adoption fee of $50, while cats six months
and younger will be available for a fee of $75. For those that adopt
one cat that is six months and younger they can adopt a second cat
for $25. All felines are altered, tested for FeLVIFIVIHW, microchipped,
dewormed and have 30 days of free pet health insurance offered through
ShelterCare.
The shelter is open Tuesday – Sunday. Hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on
Tuesday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
on Saturday and noon – 4 p.m. on Sunday. FAR, which is closed on Monday,
is located behind the FAR Resale Boutique.
