Artist displays work at Cave Creek Coffee

Cave Creek’s Logan Shirk will showcase the latest in modern artwork at Studio C4 at Cave Creek Coffee Company throughout the month of June. Shirk is known for his modern abstract impressionist paintings showcasing characters and animals exploring different aspects of life.
Shirk’s paintings are aptly named “Blue Suit Black City,” “Big Black Hat,” “A Sip for the City,” and “City Light By Candle Sight,” among others. Shirk is inspired by city skylines, horizon lines, symbolism, and nature. His art pushes color, visual direction and design; allowing viewers to each have a personal experience through their interpretation.
Originally from New Holland, Pennsylvania, Shirk studied Commercial Art at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina and later graduated from Millersville University in Pennsylvania.
“Art has always been a part of my life,” he said. “Whether its drafting and drawing, or ceramics and painting, I always find time to engage and explore my artistic inspirations. Art is what drives me everyday.”
The popular Cave Creek Coffee Company also houses an art gallery known as Studio C4 with monthly rotating contemporary artwork by local artists. Studio C4 showcases drawings, expressionist paintings and sculptures. Studio C4 is open from 6:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday and Sunday; and from 6:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
