Boulder Creek trio to compete in All-Star baseball game

The Boulder Creek Jaguars baseball program will be well represented at the Arizona Coaches Association All-Star game set for 8 p.m. June 4 at Surprise Stadium.
The event, featuring graduating seniors, will have three members of the Jaguars state semifinal squad on the 5A Div-II North squad.
The trio, which led the Jaguars to a school best 26-15 season, includes center fielder Braylon Cox, third baseman Austin Trujillo and pitcher/shortstop Bryce Eisenbart.
Cox and Eisenbart were named 5A Div-II First Team All-State while Trujillo earned Second Team honors.
Cox finished the season with a .381 batting average, 6 home runs, 44 RBIs, a .456 on base percentage and nine stolen bases, which was good for second most on the team.
Trujillo hit .504, clubbing 10 home runs, with 58 RBI, and a .536 on base percentage while Eisenbart hit a team best .537 in breaking the state’s single season record for hits in a season with 73. He also hit a team-best 13 home runs, broke the state’s single season record for doubles, with 24, tied Trujillo with a team-best 58 RBIs and had an on base percentage of .602.
On the hill Eisenbart went 10-4 with a 1.84 ERA in 80 innings. He also threw nine complete games for the Jaguars. Included in those numbers was a complete game 1-hitter in the state tournament.
Boulder Creek coach Joe McDonald will serve as the head coach in the All-Star Game.
Surprise Stadium is located at 15850 North Bullard Ave. in Surprise.
