Outlets participate in missing children program
Staff Report ~ 5/19/2010

Outlets at Anthem is participating in the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s® (NCMEC) Take 25 Child Safety Campaign by displaying the photos of missing children on its LED billboard.
The Take 25 campaign was launched in 2007 and encourages families to take 25 minutes to talk to their children about safety and abduction prevention. The campaign began on May 1 and runs through National Missing Children’s Day, which is observed each year on May 25 in an effort to bring attention to the thousands of children who are still missing.
On Thursday, in partnership with NCMEC, Outlets at Anthem will display the photos of more than 100 missing children from the state of Arizona or children believed to have been taken to Arizona. The photos will be displayed from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Outlets at Anthem's high-definition LED sign located along I-17 Freeway.
The photos will be headed by the banner “Have You Seen This Child?” along with the telephone number for NCMEC’s toll free 24-hour hotline 1-800-THE-LOST or (1-800-843-5678). Anyone with information about any of the missing children are asked to contact NCMEC immediately. The LED billboard will be seen by over 110,000 local highway travelers every day.
“Outlets at Anthem believes that educating parents, grandparents and others is the first step to helping find the missing children,” says Sallyann Martinez, Marketing Director, Outlets at Anthem. “We should never stop looking and never give up hope.”
"Getting the public involved with the search for missing children is critical in helping more children come home safely,” said Ernie Allen, President NCMEC. We are grateful to the Outlets at Anthem for their support. Their efforts will enable thousands of motorists to see the faces of missing children and help reunite them with their families.”
