Peoria Police Seek Assistance Identifying Burglary Suspects

PEORIA – Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two male subjects seen in surveillance video allegedly stealing several items from inside a residence in the area of Beardsley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway on February 14, at approximately 8:45 a.m.

According to Peoria Police, the suspects are seen in the video ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door. When they realize there is no answer, one subject enters the residence through a doggie door in the backyard and opens the door for the other male.

The suspects are seen in the home with masks covering their faces and loading up several items in the house including electronics, video games and a large safe, and put all the items in the living room of the residence.  One of the suspects is heard saying that he was going to pull the car up to the house.  Both suspects remove their masks and are seen removing the items from the house through the front door of the residence, according to police.

A neighbor later reported that the suspects were possibly seen driving an older model, white Chevrolet passenger vehicle.

The first suspect appears to be a male, approximately 20-25 years old with a thin build and black hair, shaved on the side and back. He was wearing a black shirt with “ARMY” on the front, a long sleeve grey under shirt, gloves and black Adidas high top shoes.  The second suspect is also a male, approximately 20-25 years old with a stocky build and black hair. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants, grey Vans shoes and carrying a black backpack.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals in this video or has information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Luera-Harris of the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-8970.  Video surveillance is on Peoria Police Department’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
