02/21/18

DEER VALLEY – The Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD) continues its focus on their mission of providing extraordinary educational opportunities to every learner. DVUSD works to ensure that students are prepared for college and career through Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs in each high school.

At a recent High School to Career Expo, more than 260 students in grades 6 – 12 and their families learned about dozens of programs from accounting to web page development, and culinary arts to sports medicine. Students experienced a wide range of hands-on activities, such as learning how to perform in front of a green screen for media productions and learning the proper way to set a table with the hospitality and tourism program. The High School to Career Expo allowed students from the district and all over the valley to learn and experience the valuable DVUSD’s Career and Technical Educational Programs has to offer.

Students interested in enrolling in a CTE program for next year, should register now. For more information, visit www.dvusd.org/cte.
